Jake "The Snake" Roberts has been working with Diamond Dallas Page to get healthy and get back in shape for a spot in the 2014 Royal Rumble. Roberts has talked repeatedly about his efforts and did so again in a recent interview.

Roberts told Steve and the Scum on WGD Weekly on YouTube that he wants to go out on his own terms:

"...All I can hope for right now, you know, I'm trying to get myself in shape to do the Royal Rumble, one last time...You know, I'd like to go out on my own terms with my head held high, I think I deserve that. I've had thirty seven years in the ring and it was a wonderful life, it was crazy, insane, I did a lot of things wrong, but I did a lot of things right too, brother..."

So far, there is no word on whether or not WWE wants Roberts for the January pay-per-view. Be sure to check out the rest of the in-depth interview with Roberts at the above link.

The Miz Talks Heel Turn

The Miz turned heel last week on Monday Night Raw when he backed away from Kofi Kingston's tag and let The Real Americans beat him. But apparently, the wrestler does not see it exactly that way. Miz told The Rack Extra hosts Lindsay Ward and Sir Rockin that he's not playing a heel, but he's just playing "The Miz."

"I've found my niche. It's called 'being the Miz' and whether people think it's bad or good, it's up to them. I'm not one of those people that harp on what people think. I think no matter what I'm going to entertain and people have said that there is a character switch happening and this, that and the other thing but I don't see a character switch. I think it's just the Miz making noise because he's not getting the attention that he deserves and he's not in the place he wants to be, and so he needs to switch it up and make some things happen."
