Earlier this week, President Barack Obama visited DreamWorks studios and got a private tour of the facility. The President enjoyed a meeting with How to Train Your Dragon 2 director, Dean DeBlois, and was treated to a motion capture technology demonstration as well. Having a United States President visit an animation studio isn't something you hear about every day, but Obama made a point to do it.
In this first video of President Obama's visit, DeBlois explained to the Commander in Chief how the Mo-Cap suits used in such films as How to Train Your Dragon 2 and other DreamWorks films of the like. President Obama was also shown a special presentation of the Mo-Cap suits and by the performers wearing them.
Take a look at the President of the United States being shown one of the biggest technological advances in movie making right here:
Also, actors Jim Parsons and Steve Martin showed up to hang out with the President in the DreamWorks studio. These two actors are presumably providing voices for an upcoming DreamWorks project, so we the President (and we!) get a special look at a new movie! Plus, Barack Obama gets a special animated surprise from the DreamWorks crew in this next video clip of his tour:
The President of the United States of America later called the entertainment industry "one of the bright spots of our economy" after he got a tour of the DreamWorks facility. As you can see from the videos above, President Obama definitely had a great time at the studio.
