Much of the talk about WrestleMania 30 has been about whether or not Hulk Hogan would return to WWE for an appearance, either in the ring or out of it, at the big event. Now, WWE's top star has made his opinion known about the top star of the 1980s.
TMZ caught up with John Cena at a recent event and asked the World Heavyweight Champion what it would mean to him to wrestle Hulk Hogan at WrestleMania 30:
"I grew up in the 80s as a fan of the old WWF. It would be a dream come true," Cena said. "But I certainly wouldn't want to put him in a situation to do something he's not physically capable of. We operate at a high level of speed in the WWE nowadays. I think you can't have a WrestleMania 30 without Hulk Hogan. I really, truly hope he's there in my heart of hearts 'cause as WrestleMania turns 30, I think we need the Hulkster. But we'll see if we can get him there to do whatever he can do."
TMZ then asked if the rest of the WWE locker room would welcome Hogan:
"I'm speaking to you as a Hulkamaniac. For me, he's always welcome," Cena said. "It's like kicking Santa Claus out at Christmas. You can't do it."
It's still unclear at this point if Hogan is coming back at all, much less for a match. Cena has been compared to Hogan numerous times in the past, so a match between the two would definitely be interesting.
