Enter The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers) was an iconic hip-hop album so it's only right to celebrate its 20th anniversary with a bang and that's exactly what the members of Wu-Tang did.
The majority of the crew celebrated the album in Toronto. Chef along with Ghostface Killah, Method Man, U-God, GZA, Masta Killa and Inspectah Deck were on hand to perform hits like "Bring Da Rukus" and "Wu Tang Clan Ain't Nuthing Ta F**k Wit."
The clan is currently in the process of finishing up an album. RZA recently spoke with the Associated Press and said the album is still six weeks or so from completion. And it seems like the album has been a collaborative effort, with the exception of Raekwon.
"Everybody did their verses except Raekwon," RZA said. "He hasn't turned in his verses yet. I don't know if he's still trying to find the vibe of the music. We have to talk about it before it becomes too late. But he hasn't come to the table yet."
In Raekwon's absence, RZA says that the album is somewhat incomplete without him. The album needs Rae in order to have the full Wu experience.
He added this:
"Well, you know what, that's something that I would take a vote on with the rest of the crew. I'm not a dictator about that. Raekwon is a valuable energy to the Wu-Tang, his voice, his lyrics, his approach. Rae is a master lyricist."
This is the first album the group has recorded in seven years.
