The Dec. 2, 2013 edition of WWE's Monday Night Raw emanates live from The Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City and begins with CM Punk, who says he has been trying to figure out why The Shield attacked him. He says it was because he criticized Triple H last week on Raw and says Triple H should not pick a fight with someone who is against authority and insults The Authority.
Stephanie McMahon comes out and says they support free speech. She mentions that Triple H cofounded DX and says they did not order The Shield to attack Punk because they have bigger things to deal with other than him. Kane comes out and says they looked into Punk's accusations and found that The Authority had nothing to do with it.
Punk insults Kane's new look for a bit and challenges him to come into the ring. Kane starts to move down the ramp but Stephanie stops him. Kane cools off and The Shield's music hits. Punk grabs a chair and climbs back into the ring, but The Shield surrounds him. Stephanie tells them to stop and says Punk will be respected and admired. She leaves, and Kane adds that he will also be challenged by all three members of The Shield in a handicap match at TLC.
Damien Sandow defeats Dolph Ziggler in a No. 1 Contender's match for the Intercontinental Championship. Ziggler hits a Fameasser for a two count and goes to the top rope, but Sandow makes him lose his balance on the ropes and hits You're Welcome for the win.
Natalya and The Bella Twins defeat AJ Lee, Summer Rae and Tamina Snuka. Natalya tries to put AJ in the Sharpshooter, but Tamina breaks it up before the Bellas dropkick her out of the ring. AJ tries to pick up Natalya but she rolls up the Divas Champion for the pin.
Wade Barrett, announced as "Bad News Barrett," says he has both good news and bad news. The good news is that they are on live television, but the bad news is that they are in an arena full of hillbillies. He calls the fans stupid for naming Oklahoma City after the state of Oklahoma.
Randy Orton is with Raw General Manager Brad Maddox and the WWE Champion says the GM must make sure that he is the face of the WWE and remind everyone of that fact. Orton says he is a bigger name than John Cena and is bigger than the WWE itself and Maddox must make sure everyone knows it.
Daniel Bryan defeats Erick Rowan when Rowan tries to press slam him and Bryan counters into a roll up for the pin. Bray Wyatt appears on the TitanTron and tells him to stand down. He says Bryan won't get hurt unless Bray gives the order. The Wyatt Family leader says he has done many bad things but is man enough to admit when he's wrong. He says he understands Bryan and watches him chase his fiancé and buy her diamonds, but together they could tear down the whole system.
Kane is backstage after the break and runs into Daniel Bryan. He says the two used to be partners, but he has moved on and now Bryan is friends with CM Punk. He says in the interest of fairness that Bryan should face the same challenge as Punk and books him in a handicap match against The Wyatt Family.
R-Truth and Xavier Woods defeat Tons of Funk (w/The Funkadactyls) when Woods avoids Brodus' cross body and rolls him up for the pin.
Sin Cara earns the win over Alberto Del Rio when Del Rio misses an enziguri and Sin Cara hits a senton splash from the top rope.
Renee Young is backstage with John Cena and asks him about becoming the undisputed, unified champion. Cena says to think about the meaning of the two titles and references Ric Flair and Hulk Hogan. He says that there is only one WWE now and one WWE Universe that deserve only one champion. He says in one word what it would mean for him to win: "everything."
The Shield is backstage and each of the members say CM Punk couldn't take them one-on-one, so a 3-on-1 match will be even worse. Ambrose ends the brief promo with "believe in The Shield."
Cody Rhodes and Goldust come out to team with Big Show for a six-man tag team match with The Shield with CM Punk watching on a monitor in the back. The Shield win a typically high-quality match when Goldust tries to superplex Seth Rollins onto Dean Ambrose, but Ambrose moves out of the way and Rollins rolls up Goldust for the win.
Renee Young is backstage with CM Punk and asks for his reaction to the match at TLC. Punk sarcastically says he is overjoyed and starts singing "I Feel Pretty." Yes, really. He then gets serious and says he knows he's going down, but the question is how many members of The Shield is he taking with him.
Bad News Barrett is next to the announce table and says he has some bad news. He talks about Thanksgiving and says Americans arteries are now clogged, they sweat when they eat and they are all constipated.
The Miz is backstage and Kofi Kingston walks up and extends his hand. The two have apparently settled their differences and they shake hands. They head to the ring for a tag team match against Ryback and Curtis Axel. Ryback and Axel earn the win when Ryback hits Kofi with Shellshocked. The Miz helps Kofi up after the match but then slaps Kofi before he leaves the ring.
Mark Henry beats Fandango with the World's Strongest Slam and shows off a few dance moves to boot.
The Prime Time Players are in the ring after the break to face The Real Americans. Zeb Colter does his usual schtick and talks about Titus O'Neil puking on Smackdown. The Real Americans pick up the win when Antonio Cesaro uppercuts Darren Young.
Jerry "The King" Lawler reveals the results of the WWE App poll and the fans voted for the winner of the Cena-Orton match to be called The Unified Champion (38%) over The Undisputed WWE Champion (31%) and The Undisputed World Champion (31%).
Triple H and Stephanie make their way to the ring for the contract signing between Cena and Orton with tables, ladders and chairs set up everywhere. The two clarify that there will be one unified, undisputed champion when the match ends. Stephanie then introduces Orton first, followed by Cena.
Stephanie mockingly calls Orton the guy who is bigger than the WWE. Triple H talks about the history of both belts and Stephanie makes sure to say that Triple H has held both. He says they have been thinking about doing this match for a long time but needed to wait for each title to be held by a man who could carry the title of face of the WWE when it was all over.
Triple H hands the contract to Orton first and he signs it. Cena quickly does the same and Stephanie offers each man a chance to speak. Orton says some of the biggest names in the industry have held these titles but he says he is better than all of them, including Triple H, but that is why HHH chose him. He says they have something in common with a majority of the people: they don't like John Cena very much. He says he will walk out with both titles.
Cena laughs and says they've had plenty of matches and fake re-introduces himself to Orton. The WWE Champion says he knows who he is and reminds him that he kicked Cena's father in the head a few years ago. Orton puts himself over for a bit before Cena cuts him off and makes fun of him for a bit. He says the only dream Orton has turned into a nightmare is Triple H's because the COO picked Orton 10 years ago and Orton never lived up to his potential.
Cena says Orton has a bad attitude and then got lazy and says Cena ruined Triple H's dream by beating Orton. He says Orton was given his WWE title but he earned the World Heavyweight Championship. He tells Orton to leave or to make a move but if he makes a move, Cena will remind the fans of what a TLC match really is. Orton flips the table on Cena and the two start to brawl.
Cena smashes Orton with a ladder twice and hits him with a chair. He bounces his face off the steel steps but Orton fights back by dumping a ladder on Cena. Orton then hits Cena with a chair a few times and sets up a table, but Cena throws him through a table in the corner of the ring. Cena gives a thumbs down and AAs Orton through another table. He poses with both belts as Triple H and Stephanie watch from the ramp and the show goes off the air.
