Kerry Washington reveals if she's Team Fitz or Team Jake in Scandal Season 3

Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington) has two major love interests in her life on the ABC smash hit Scandal: President Fitzgerald Grant (Tony Goldwyn), her on-again, off-again lover, and Jake Ballard (Scott Foley), the former B613 super agent who was tasked with watching over Olivia but eventually fell in love (and in bed) with her.

As with most live triangles, Scandal fans have been debating which of the two men is best for Olivia and with whom she'll wind up. But what does Washington think? The actress, who is currently pregnant, told E! Online during her first commercial shoot for Neutrogena which team she's chosen.

"I'm team Shonda Rhimes!" Washington said in reference to Scandal's creator. "Whatever she writes is what I'm rooting for. And I guess I'm for Team Happy Olivia. I just want Olivia to be with the person who is right for her, and I guess we'll have to see how that unfolds."

So Washington pretty much dodged the question, which is unsurprising for Scandal because much of the show's future details are kept under lock and key. But there's so much happening on the show at any given time that the love triangle (if you can really call it that) is only one of many moving parts. Operation Remington has been the biggest thread running through Season 3 and will continue to dominate the plot for the time being.

"Operation Remington is a big part of what the show is about right now in a similar role that Defiance played last season," Washington said. "So it is the big scandal and there's lots more to learn about it, if you stay tuned. And it gets crazier and crazier in the most wonderful way."
