One Direction's Niall Horan Dating Rumors 2013: Mom Maura says 'Story of My Life' singer is 'not ready' for a girlfriend despite romance claims

Although countless gossip reports appear to think differently, Niall Horan's mother Maura doesn't think that her One Direction son is ready for a serious girlfriend. This news comes just days after the Mullingar native was romantically linked to Victoria's secret model Barbara Palvin, so maybe that news was just a rumor?

"I don't think Niall is ready yet for a serious girlfriend. He's a real happy-go-lucky lad. He wants to enjoy life and isn't ready to settle into a steady relationship as far as I know just yet," Maura Horan explained.

"When he has something to tell me, he'll tell me," she continued, though she admitted, "what goes on in London, stays in London."

So maybe Niall's mom just isn't aware of every aspect of her son's love life? One of these rumors could end up being true!

"He's a good gentle character himself. There are in that position where they'll meet lots of people and girls," she said. "A girl he'll go for dinner with here and to the pictures with there - but I'm not sure they are all girlfriends."

Maura also gave the millions of hopefuls trying to catch Niall's eye a simple hint. She said that they should have "a good laugh and a good personality. Someone that he can sit and chat and have a laugh with."
