Paul Walker's untimely death will forever be missed by his friends, family, "Fast and Furious" fans, and one lucky couple. Recent reports of the actor's generous deed to purchase a $10,000 engagement ring for an Iraq war veteran to propose to his fiancé has melted everyone's heart.
According to PerezHilton, nearly 10 years ago, the adventurous actor was in a jewelry store when a soldier and his fiancée were picking out a ring for his future bride and overheard their financial problems. A source there that day explained:
"[Paul] was shopping in the store at the same time as a soldier who had just finished up his first tour of duty in Iraq. The soldier was heading overseas again and was shopping with his fiancée, looking at engagement rings. She saw something that she really, really liked, but he said, 'Honey, I can't afford that.' [Paul] called the manager and he said, 'Umm, the ring that those people are looking at - put it on my tab... Soon after that, he just left."
Saturday, Walker and his friend died in a car accident after their 2005 Porsche Carrera GT crashed into a pole and burst into flames.
So sad!
