Glee will air its 100th episode later in Season 5 and series creator Ryan Murphy had invited all the original cast members back for the milestone installment. A few of them had already answered, and now another original has added her name to the list.
Dianna Agron tweeted on Thursday that "There will be some news today that I think might make many of you happy...it makes me happy too." Murphy followed that up later in the day with "Dianna is IN for Glee 100th!" Agron then tweeted "Going to be fun...#Glee100."
Some of the original actors, including Agron, did not appear in the Cory Monteith tribute episode earlier in Season 5, but Murphy made sure that he extended the invitation to the original players for the landmark episode. Some fans were upset that Agron and others were not in the Monteith episode, but Agron said in a No. 17 interview with The Irish Independent that she had no issues with Murphy and the show:
"I've nothing but love for that show and everybody involved in it, and it was such a huge part of my life. I think it's equally hard when I'm not there every day anymore, I don't see all of them every day anymore to have things like this fly around. It's more heartbreaking than it would be if I was there with everybody. It makes me feel even farther away from our show."
Agron's last appearance on the show was for Will and Emma's wedding, at which Quinn hooked up with Santana. It's unclear yet if Quinn and Santana will interact in the upcoming episode.
So far, Agron, Kristin Chenoweth, Heather Morris, Amber Riley, Mark Salling and Harry Shum Jr. have been confirmed to return in the 100th episode.
