The Entourage movie has gone through numerous and ups and downs, but the film is finally in the works now, which means fans can start to expect plenty of news about it until it releases. Ari Gold himself, Jeremy Piven, has already revealed one such piece of news.
Piven told E! Online that Ari has a "huge decision" to make in the movie that could change his life and the lives of many others. The following comes from the "Spoiler Chat" column:
"Andy in Indiana: Do you guys have any info on the Entourage movie?
Actually, we just spoke to Jeremy Piven about what Ari Gold is up to in the movie. He tells us that the big screen continuation of the HBO series will pick up in Italy and Ari will have a 'huge decision' to make. Essentially, he's been 'handed the keys to the kingdom' and it's a question of if Ari wants to run Hollywood. What do you think he's going to say to that?"
A post-credits scene in the series finale of Entourage showed Ari and his wife relaxing in Italy on the Amalfi Coast when John Ellis calls him to say that he wants to retire. Ellis wants Ari to take over for him as the chairman and CEO of Time Warner. The last scene of the series shows Ari as he considers the offer.
So it seems that the movie will pick up almost immediately after the end of the series with Ari still mulling over his big decision. It's certainly a tempting offer, and his taking it could provide a way to get the film moving in the beginning.
