Drake's Would You Like A Tour? continues to be something of a hot mess. The Nothing Was The Same rapper has cancelled his appearance at tonight's Grammy nominees concert. The Torontonian MC backed out at the last minute due to "scheduling conflicts" according to TMZ.
"Unfortunately, due to scheduling complications, Drake will no longer be performing," a rep told the gossip website. "[He's] currently in the middle of his nationwide 'Would You Like A Tour?' and sincerely apologizes to his fans that he can't be there."
This is but the latest problem with Drake's on-again, off-again tour. The trek had trouble from the start when Drake had to postpone the NWTS-supporting shows due to technical difficulties.Drake then kicked opening act Future off the tour after the latter allegedly made disparaging comments about his new album. Future has since been reinstated as opener. After all that, Drake was forced to cancel his second stop an hour before showtime, again due to technical difficulties.
CBS has been promoting the Grammy Nominations Live!! concert, claiming the megawatt star as one of the headliners. However, the lack of general Drake-iness shouldn't hurt the overall profile of the event which boasts Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, Lorde, Miguel, T.I., Earth Wind & Fire, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis and Keith Urban among its many performers.
The concert - which airs on CBS tonight at 10 pm EST- is leading up to the 56th annual Grammy awards which will take place on January 26.
