You wouldn't think sloganeering, bouncy Atlanta rappers Migos would have a deep-enough catalog to have alternate versions of songs, after all they've only released one mixtape. However, fans who only know the Y.R.N. collective through their Drake cosigned "Versace" might be surprised to learn that there are two versions of their follow-up single "Hannah Montana."
The original was an excellent bit of bonkers trap rap that continued the tradition of using "white girl" as slang for illicit drugs, subbing in the names of famous white musicians as a drug reference (similar to what Rick Ross did on the Meek Mill track "Believe It"). However, after Miley owned the latter-half of 2013 with her attention-grabbing theatrics, Migos smelled money and rewrote the track to be about Miley and her so-called "twerking."
Unfortunately, this second version is the one that Migos went with for their latest music video (though the clip does add an amazing Christmas carol rendition of the track in question). Check it out below:
In other Migos news, the group have been hard at work on YRN 2, releasing tracks like "Ran Up The Money" ahead of the upcoming mixtape.
