Twitter beef is often the realm of high-profile divas and rap stars. However, let it never be said that indie bands and rock groups can't get in on the act. Sister trio Haim and indie-poppers Los Campesinos! exchanged barbs over the social media site on December 8, as they were due to play concerts across the street from each other.
Campesinos! frontman Gareth David kickstarted the fued when he sent a photo of himself throwing up v's in the direction of Haim's venue (For Americans, this is the same as an flipping someone the middle finger).

Not to be outdone, Haim responded with a picture sending the sentiment right back, along with the help of the entire audience at their show.

Apparently Haim fans waited outside the Los Campesinos! show to jeer Gareth.
Haim fans are waiting outside the venue to shout abuse at me. They are chanting "fuck you Gareth".

The singer added that "he just enjoys the banter" and holds no ill will toward Haim, even urging his fans to stop being "wankers" to the "The Wire" group.
