Yes, we've all experienced the ups and downs in recent Family Guy news with the tragic loss of Brian, but we have something new to look forward to now. Twentieth Century Fox announced today that with the help of game company TinyCo, they will be creating a new Family Guy game for both iOS and Android devices and it will be available in 2014. This is the kind of news we need during the holidays.

The shows writers have worked on a whole new storyline for the game to create an experience for players as they interact with the characters and explore Quahog.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Fox Digital SVP Rick Phillips said about the news: "With more than a decade on the air, Family Guy has built a world like no other with some of the most beloved characters in entertainment today. This game will bring the best of the Family Guy experience to mobile gamers all over the world."

There is no doubt that it was an intentional decision to bring this news to us today, after all of the heartbreak we've endured thinking about Brian, mourning the loss of Brian. We needed this pick-me-up. They had to throw us a bone. Aw, a bone...Brian.

Suli Ali, CEO of the San Francisco-based game developer, ensures that the free-to-play will "[capture] that essence, providing players with an awesome way to get their Family Guy fix every day."

Maybe, if we're lucky and the writers really want us to get our fix as well, they'll allow some sort of choose-your-own-ending aspect where we can bring Brian back and it'll be like nothing ever happened.
