Jay Z is smack dab in the middle of his Magna Carta World Tour and during a show at Los Angeles' Staples Center, he used his spotlight to pay tribute to recently passed world leader Nelson Mandela.

Jay Z dedicated the track "Forever Young" to Mandela, saying the following:

We want to dedicate this song to Nelson Mandela. A great man. Spent 27 years in prison, came out to be President. All dreams are possible... So anybody out there that got a dream, y'all chase that motherf--ker down as hard as you can. Let that great man stand as an example of what you can do."

Nelson Mandela passed earlier this week and is currently being honored around the world, with an absolutely massive memorial service taking place today at FWB Stadium in Soweto, South Africa. Over 100 heads of state are in attendance including President Barrack Obama.
