Fans of the show Happy Endings had a rough year in 2013, but the beginning of 2014 is looking great! Though the show was canceled after just three seasons, all 57 episodes of the comedy were picked up by VH1 and a special marathon will air on the network in conjunction with New Year's.

Entertainment Weekly reports:

The cable premiere of Happy Endings will begin with a marathon of all 57 episodes starting on New Year's Eve - Tuesday, Dec. 31 - at 8 p.m. ET. The marathon will run all the way through New Year's Day. But don't worry: If you've got plans to be out on the town, the marathon is only the kick-off event. Happy Endings will then settle into its new time slot on Wednesday nights from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. starting Jan. 8. The episodes will also be available online using VH1′s TV Everywhere platforms and the VH1 app.

Are you excited for this re-run marathon?

This news isn't as good as a show renewal, but we'll take it! Earlier this year, creator David Caspe and executive producer Jonathan Groff revealed that USA was very close to picking up the recently canceled comedy.

"It was as close as it could come without happening," Caspe said.

Groff added: "I think USA, to their credit, really wants to be in the business of making original programming. It sounded like it would have been hard for them to do everything they wanted to do in terms of development."

In regards to the fourth season that never was, Groff had this to say:

"I really would like to have seen where Penny ends up and what happens with Dave and Alex. Do they ever get back together? They seem like they're right for each other. And to see Elisha Cuthbert, who is so funny and was sort of undiscovered to us before as a really talented comedienne, to get to see [Alex] out dating really for the first time with someone other than Dave would have been a lot of fun. Brad and Jane talking about starting a family or new jobs, things like that. I'm bummed about not getting to tell those stories more."
