Beyoncé Knowles has reportedly enlisted the help of her close friend, actress Gwyneth Paltrow, to help relaunch her acting career.
The 30-year-old singer is said to be keen to move on from lighthearted parts, such as the role of Foxxy Cleopatra in Austin Powers: Goldmember, and establish herself as an accomplished actress.
According to the Sun, Paltrow is said to be in talks with her godfather, the legendary director Steven Spielberg, on Beyoncé's behalf.
A source told the paper: "Gwyneth is arranging a meeting and also has ideas about a mini-movie for an upcoming music video."
Despite having had some success in films, including Dreamgirls, Obsessed and Cadillac Records, Beyoncé is said to be setting her sights on meatier roles.
The two friends are preparing to go on a family holiday together with their husbands, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin and rapper Jay-Z, and their children.
