Daniel Bryan won the fan-voted "Superstar of the Year" and received the biggest pop of any WWE Superstar on the latest edition of Monday Night Raw. Granted the show took place in Seattle, which is right near his hometown of Aberdeen, but the Yes! chants were so loud during the final segment on Raw that it actually stopped the segment in its tracks. Despite all this, reports have emerged that Vince McMahon doesn't see Bryan as an attraction.
PWInsider.com (per WrestlingRumors.net) reports that any backstageat WWE note that Bryan has not been given a true WWE Championship run because McMahon does not think that he is a big enough draw. Several WWE creative team members reportedly have said that Bryan's lack of a push is because McMahon kept vetoing the idea every time they tried to make it happen. As multiple previous reports indicated, Vince McMahon and Triple H have the final say over creative plans in WWE.
If true, this report falls in line with some reports from earlier in the year, including the report that WWE wants to push its physically larger wrestlers. Shawn Michaels also said earlier in the year that he had a conversation earlier in the year with McMahon and the WWE owner told him that a certain Superstar was too small and McMahon could not see him drawing money. HBK did not name the wrestler but defended him and told McMahon that he said the same thing about him. Michaels later said that the wrestler in question was not Bryan.
