Miley Cyrus to perform New Years Eve before ball drops in Times Square

Whatever Miley Cyrus has, we need some of it. The singer just scored big performing on New Years Eve in Times Square.

The "twerking" singer will take the stage right before we bring in the new year, 2014 during a live performance of Ryan Seacrest's New Year's Rockin' Eve. According to US Weekly the wearing "J's" singer will appear at 11:45 p.m. yep, right before the big ball drops.

Miley was confirmed yesterday by Seacrest on Jimmy Kimmel Live. "We just added Miley Cyrus to be in Times Square right before the ball drops," he said. "We try to look for the artist that's created a lot of buzz and had a really big year." well if we are going off of buzz, then Seacrest made the right decision.

Miley was previously scheduled to appear with Pharrell Williams at the Fontainebleau Hotel in Miami Beach, Fla. - but who wouldn't want to change plans to go to NYC on New Years Eve!

Miley tweeted her followers about the updated New Year's Eve schedule:

Smilers! There's been a change in my NYE plans. @RyanSeacrest asked me to perform in Times Square for #RockinEve!!

Later she tweets that she will hate missing the event in Miami:
