WWE has gone through numerous corporate changes in recent months, and a report has surfaced about major changes to the company's creative structure and overall philosophy that could have huge ramifications on the on-air product.
The Wrestling Observer reports that Stephanie McMahon is now the Chief Brand Officer and she will mostly not be involved with the creative aspect of the company anymore. Instead, she will start to serve as the public face of the company.
Earlier this week, Stephanie told The Observer in Santa Clara that she might still have some creative ideas from time to time because she still works as an on-air character, but she will not be a part of the daily creative process anymore. Instead, Vince McMahon and Triple H are now the final authority on the creative side.
Furthermore, Stephanie's role is reportedly to change the company's image in the future. According to the report, WWE wants to reduce the public's perception of the company as Vince McMahon's and instead wants to create a friendlier company that is aimed at women, specifically mothers, and children. Stephanie's position as the new public face of the company is an intentional move to help make that happen.
Sting's Future with TNA
The Wrestling Observer also reports that Sting's contract with TNA will expire shortly after the New Year, but many within TNA feel that he will stay with the company. He is part of TNA's booking in the future and is still advertised for the Jan. 16 event in Huntsville, Alabama to face Ethan Carter III. If this holds true, then it's bad news for WWE fans who hoped Sting would appear at WrestleMania 30.
