Unfortunately, KISS guitarist Ace Frehley lost his home in a fire over the weekend.

According to the Journal News, the house, located in Yorktown Heights, New York, once served as a recording studio and was later converted into a residence.

The house was put up for foreclosure back in February. Frehley reportedly failed to make his mortgage payments for the past two years.

The Inquisitor reported that the fire department was called to the home at around 11 am on Saturday after smoke was seen coming from the building.

"We got to the scene and found heavy smoke showing from the roof line of the building," said Fire Chief Chet Swirski from the Yorktown Heights Fire Department.

A male caretaker had been living in the home but fortunately, no one was in the building when the fire started. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

Some believe there is a connection between the house fire and the foreclosure issue.

Frehley reportedly owed more than $700,000 on his $735,000 three-bedroom, three-bathroom home. Frehley purchased the home back in 2006. He reportedly borrowed money to purchase the home.

But the musician's financial woes don't end there. Frehley also owes nearly $20,000 in back property taxes which includes a "2011 lien of $5,131.61 for town and county taxes, as well as $13,425.94 for unpaid 2012 county, school and town taxes."

What do you think? Is it just a coincidence or is Ace Frehley up to something?

Stay tuned to find out the cause of the fire.
