Long gone are the days when families just spread holiday cheer through Christmas card photos. The Holderness Family has taken it upon themselves to create an "#Xmas Jammies" video to recap their 2013. The "#Xmas Jammies" video has already gone viral, but its wild popularity may not be as surprising as you'd think. Like most young children in pajamas, these kids are adorable. But the parents themselves are obviously performers. They can sing (rap, really, to Will Smith's "Miami"), dance and have outgoing personalities. Wife Kim's twitter bio says: TV host and producer. Can moonwalk and pop and lock. Mom of two, wife to one big goofball @PennNBC17.
Mother Kim had a part in Iron Man 3 with Robert Downey Jr. this year, so acting his part of her career. In the song they also jokingly reference that father Penn had a part as well, though it was much, much smaller. In the song, Kim raps about Penn: "Next month he's stepping off the anchor desk...He's going to quit his job and come work with his wife." This insinuates that he'll be leaving his news job at WNCN.com to pursue more acting and performing type roles.
Penn takes over the verse, "We'll be making videos just like these for politicians and companies." They're transparent about the fact that it's a shameless plug for their own new company, Greenroom Communicatons, a team of "Emmy Award winning journalists and producers." It's great publicity, the YouTube video is pushing 800K and as it continues to catch fire near the holidays, there's a good chance it will break a million.
