Zayn Malik's mom Trisha opens up about Perrie Edwards and teases wedding date details for pop star fiances

Perrie Edwards and Zayn Malik are slowly but surely planning their dream wedding and now the One Direction hunk's mother has shared some insight into the ceremony. Trisha Malik was recently asked about her pop star son's big day, which led to her gushing about her future daughter-in-law. Let's see what Zayn's mom had to say about Perrie and maybe we can get some hints as to when the wedding will happen!

"They're thinking of the end of next year, although no date has yet been set yet," she revealed.

She added: "Perrie is a lovely girl and I get on really well with her."

Over the last few months after Zayn's proposal in August, the pop star couple hasn't revealed much about their wedding and explained how they're just trying to enjoy the engagement period. Now we know that it looks like they could marry at the end of 2014, which is plenty of time to soak in the engagement love!

It's also great that Trisha and Perrie get along so well!

"If they have children I wouldn't like to be so far away from them. I would really like to still be part of their lives," Trisha explained.

With Christmas coming up so soon, the subject of family is on everyone's minds so Trisha got to talk a bit about her son and how the holiday season is special to her.

"I will cook the dinner," she said. "Perrie and her mother will be there and we'll open presents, play games and stuff our faces."
