Sex has always been a topic that R. Kelly has never shied away from and it has caused quite a buzz among his naysayers. But Kells is speaking up and has a few choice words for his critics.

About fifteen years ago, sexual allegations accusing Kells of relationships with underage girls surfaced and the course of his career was altered forever.

While visiting V-103 to promote his latest release, the Chi-Town crooner danced around the topic and opted to thank his supporters. Here's what he had to say:

"I want my fans and everybody to know out there that I appreciate everybody's support from the very beginning of my career."

Big Tigger wasted no time trying to get the scoop well Kells didn't take the bait. He went on to say, "I feel like I got the football, man. I'm running towards the touchdown. Stopping and looking back...mess around and get tackled."

R. Kelly was acquitted of the child porn charges brought against him and told Big Tigger that his response to his critics is the final track on his Black Panties album.

"As long as I got fans screaming my name, buying my records and supporting R. Kelly, everybody who doesn't agree should listen to the last song on Black Panties," he said. "That song's title, in case you don't own the new album is called simply 'Shut Up.'"

Former Chicago Sun-Times music writer Jim DeRogatis, who broke the story of Kelly's infamous sexual encounters, has been very vocal about journalists not taking Kells to task and allowing the public to forget his legal troubles.

Maybe Kells' suggestion was geared towards DeRogatis. What do you think?
