Freddie Gibbs teams up with Cookin' Soul for "Thug Till It's Over"

The last I heard from Spanish DJ duo Cookin' Soul was their excellent bachelor pad bomp on Fiend's 2012 track "PSA Your Lady." So, I'm glad to hear they are still plugging away at their easy-listening beats at the end of 2013. Their latest team-up is with critically adored, perennially under-the-radar rapper Freddie Gibbs on his new track "Thug Till It's Over."

It's been an excellent 24 hours for beats, with Cookin' Soul providing some reworked muzak for Gibbs to get filthy over and K.E. sampling Gene Williams for "The Devil Is A Lie."

Apparently, Cookin' Soul has been hard at work throughout the year and I just haven't noticed. He even managed to make "Bound 2", a hilariously bad track off of the most overrated album of the year, a bit more listenable.
