Drake is the king of Twitter!
According to the social media site, the actor turned rapper generated 52,202,000 tweets this year.
Guess Drizzy gave fans a lot to talk about this year, especially with the release of his third studio album, tour and release of numerous features.
Eminem and Kanye West trailed closely behind with a substantial amount of tweets. Yeezus was even named the top tweeted about rap album of the year.
Eminem came in second as the "Most Tweeted About Rapper" with 21,271,953 tweets this year. Yeezus generated 4.4 million tweets upon its release.
Eminem's single "Rap God" spawned the #1 hip-hop trend (#RapGod). It's safe to say it was a big social media year for the real Slim Shady as well.
Fellow Young Money rapper Lil Wayne came in as the third most tweeted about rapper. Wayne sent social media abuzz with the release of an album, I Am Not A Human Being II, and his March hospitalization where he was originally reported to be in critical condition.
Aside from his more than 52 million mentions, Drake raked in 2,942,000 tweets in regards to his Nothing Was the Same album. He also flooded Twitter with trending topics like #DrakeTaughtMe, #DrakeTwitterPassword, #Wu-Tang Forever, #Pound Cake and #The Language.
