All him, for real. Drizzy has gone gold.
"All Me," the third single off Drake's Nothing Was The Same album has been certified gold. That means the single alone has been purchased 500,000 times.
Congrats Drizzy!
The news was announced via Twitter by the track's producer, Key Wane.
But "All Me" still has some catching up to do. Drizzy's first two singles "Hold On, We're Going Home" and "Started From The Bottom" have both gone 2× platinum.
"All Me" features verses from 2 Chainz and Big Sean.
Drake is certainly finishing out the year strong. Can't wait to hear those five tracks he announced he would be releasing before the year ends.
Back in November, Drake announced that he would like to release tracks including "Trophies" and a remix of "Wu-Tang Forever." The latter actually features the legendary hip-hop collective.
Here's what Drake had to say of the releases:
"Not an EP, but maybe a blog thing like how I did 'Versace,' 'The Motion,' all those in one night," Drake says of his upcoming releases. "I'll probably do 'Trophies' and three or four other records."
Word is that Drizzy's been holding out too.
Producer Nineteen85, who co-produced "Hold On, We're Going Home" and "Too Much" had this to say:
"Drake probably has almost an album's worth of stuff recorded that he could put out at any time. Songs that basically are ready to go. And I'm not talking about throwaway records. I'm talking about finished songs that most artists would beg to have."
Once again, congrats on "All Me" and we can't wait to hear some new music!
