Every year on Christmas day, a number of standout movies are released and plenty of moviegoers venture out on the holiday to see these on the big screen. But what even more people do is wait for the weekend so that they can enjoy the holiday. So this week's installment of "In Theaters This Week" features films released on a Wednesday, but are still new for the weekend crowd. Let's check out some previews of The Wolf of Wall Street, 47 Ronin, Grudge Match, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty and August: Osage County!
Maybe one of the biggest movies hitting theaters this year is Martin Scorsese's The Wolf of Wall Street. With Leonardo DiCaprio in the lead role of real-life New York City stockbroker Jordan Belfort, we get to see this theatrical take on a true story about money, lies, and stealing.

The Secret Life of Walter Mitty is already getting plenty of critical acclaim so it is definitely one of the most anticipated films of the year. Directed by and starring Ben Stiller, this remake takes audiences on a journey as a daydreamer decides to stop having adventures only in his mind.
Family dramas are usually hit-or-miss, but considering the cast of August: Osage County, it's hard to brush off this film. With a family crisis bringing everyone together again, things take a turn for the hilarious, emotional and uplifting. Starring Meryl Streep, Julia Roberts, Ewan McGregor, Benedict Cumberbatch and many more notable actors, this film is definitely worth seeing.

What would happen if Rocky met Raging Bull in the ring? This is the basic idea behind Grudge Match. Considering it has been many years since these films, this 2013 movie tells the story of old rivals meeting in the ring during their twilight years for one last go. Starring Sylvester Stallone and Robert De Niro, Grudge Match is sure to be one of the more entertaining films of the year.

47 Ronin is the retelling of a classic Japanese folk tale about a small group of warriors taking on a mystical enemy. Keanu Reeves leads the cast as an outcast who joins the small army, leading to an 3D action-adventure must-see movie.
