'Real Housewives of New Jersey' star Caroline Manzo's dog dies on Christmas

Mstars loves the animals and this one is a hard one to write about. Christmas is usually a time for happy tears as kids open presents they dreamed they would get from Santa, and adults usually receive that "Kiss from Kay" jewelers, but for one household it was tears of sadness as they had to say goodbye to one family member.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey star, Caroline Manzo, had a very sad Christmas morning.The mother of 3 and her family had to say goodbye to their beloved dog, Austin, who was sick over the holidays.

"My little man, feel better baby," Lauren Manzo, Caroline's only daughter posted on an Instagram photo Christmas Eve.

PEOPLE reported that Christmas day, Manzo, 52, tweeted a picture of the dog sitting on Santa's lap and wrote: "RIP my beautiful little puppy, you were so loved. Santa has a new sidekick."

The death of the animal appears to have affected not only the family but also Mstars writers as we tear up writing the article.

Caroline's son Albie, 27, also posted a photo of the dog's personalized Christmas ornament on Instagram saying, "Lost our little guy today, been with us every step of the way for the last 17+ years. Gonna miss you buddy."

The family is currently gearing up for a Bravo spin-off show called, Manzo'd With Children.
