Hear the previously unreleased Talking Heads track "Theme"

The Talking Heads are such a major influence on so many bands that you'd think every piece of music the art-rockers ever made has been catalogued, pored over, re-packaged and sold. However, as this recently unearthed track from a pre-77 live show illustrates, you'd be wrong. The track is an instrumental (referred to by the band as "Theme") and David Byrne and Co. performed it at their CBGB gig with Television. 

The track starts off as a slow, bright-sounding scale exercise before evolvng into the sort of jangly, sharp guitars and bass-heavy groove that drove people the the Heads in the first place. Check it out below:
