Charlotte Neve, 7-year-old girl suffered a brain hemorrhage and fell into coma in April 2011. She underwent two surgeries and the bleeding in her brain was stopped, but she couldn't wake up. Doctors told her mother, Leila, to give her final goodbye.
Leila, 31 climbed into her daughter's hospital bed for their last hug and Adele's song, "Rolling in the Deep" came on the radio. She started to sing along to the song that was also one of her daughter's favorite songs and suddenly Charlotte smiled. The miracle happened.
"I couldn't believe it. It was the first time she had reacted to anything since the hemorrhage. The nurses were astounded and told me to keep singing, and she smiled again," Leila said to The Telegraph. "It was like she was rebooting," she added.
Charlotte could start to speak and get up from her bed within two days, astonishing doctors. She is now allowed to go back home and school even if not fully recovered yet.
"I was told that she was very lucky to survive. A day or two after the Adele incident, doctors took the drain out of Charlotte's head to see whether she could function without it and she literally went from smiling and being giddy to standing up in bed. It was a miracle."
