Drake releases new music featuring Soulja Boy

Drake has made good on his promise and is dropping some new music.

About a month ago, Drizzy announced that he planned to release five new tracks before the year's end and he started early this morning. Should've known Drizzy wasn't gonna leave us hanging.

But with all the hype behind the Hit-Boy-produced "Trophies," no one saw "We Made It" coming. Drake released the track featuring Soulja Boy via Twitter shortly after 5 am.

He tweeted out a link to the song saying, "New Years Eve Anthems on deck." Minutes later Drizzy tweeted "Trophies up next."

When the song wasn't posted, fans went into frenzy and the Canadian actor turned rapper pretty much told fans to hold tight for a little bit longer.

He left fans with this last message before making his exit:

"Trophies later I meant...go to sleep."

He sure does know how to keep fans on their toes. Wonder what else he has in store.

Late last month, Drizzy told Vibe magazine that he hopes to release "Trophies" and a remix of "Wu-Tang Forever." The latter features the legendary hip-hop collective.

Prior to the release of Nothing Was The Same, Drake took to his blog to release four tracks including his "Jodeci Freestyle" featuring J. Cole, and verses on PARTYNEXTDOOR's "Over Here" and Migos' "Versace."

He says that he plans to release his new tracks in a similar fashion.

"Not an EP, but maybe a blog thing like how I did 'Versace,' 'The Motion,' all those in one night," Drake says of his upcoming releases. "I'll probably do 'Trophies' and three or four other records."
