Taylor Swift has been named the most charitable celebrity of 2013. According to nonprofit website DoSomething.org, the "Red" singer sits at the top of the annual "Celebs Gone Good" list.
According to DoSomething, Swift's No. 1 spot comes from her generous donation to the Nashville Symphony. On her 24th birthday, the country songstress eschewed gifts and instead donated $100,000 to the struggling orchestra. Swift was also cited for headlining a concert to benefit Centrepoint, an organization that helps homeless children in Britain.
This is Swift's second straight year atop the do-gooders list.
She wasn't the only one on the list, however. Fellow pop sensations One Direction came in at No. 2 for releasing a Red Nose Day cover for "One Way Or Another," which raised over $2 million to help fight poverty in Africa. They also garnered up nearly $750,000 for cancer research.
Other celebrities on the list include Beyoncé, the now-deceased Paul Walker, Macklemore and Carrie Underwood.
And, despite all the bad press, "All That Matters" singer Justin Bieber notched the No. 20 spot on the "Celebs Gone Good" list for raising over $1 million to support natural diasaster relief efforts. He's also the first musician to grant over 200 wishes for the Make A Wish foundation.
