Recently it was reported that Jeff Daniels and Olivia Munn, who appear in Aaron Sorkin's show The Newsroom, do no get along. E! News published an exclusive response from Sorkin totally debunking this rumor.
"The story bears no resemblance to reality," Sorkin said. "Olivia is a perfect cast member who is loved and respected by the entire cast, by the crew and the producers, by HBO and especially by me."
As E! pointed out, the false information came from a source who told Radar that Munn's "know-it-all-attitude" didn't sit well with both Daniels and Sorkin, enough so that it created a "poisonous atmosphere" on set.
Well it appears the source was mistaken, because being called a "perfect cast member" is about the highest praise Munn could ask for. She plays Sloan Sabbith, an economist and financial reporter on the HBO series.
The show's success could be an indicator that the program probably runs like a well-oiled machine, especially for Daniels. He won the Emmy for Best Actor in a Drama Series in 2013 and is up for a Screen Actors Guild Award for his role as Will McAvoy.
It isn't clear when the series will be back for a third season, but its return looks promising. "We're going to come back, we just don't know when yet," Daniels told reporters backstage at the Emmys after his win. "They're trying to work it out with Aaron and HBO and is deciding when they want to air it."
Munn also recently appeared as a character on Fox's New Girl alongside Zooey Deschanel.
