As usual, Times Square was packed to the brim on New Year's Eve, and those in attendance in New York City (as well as those watching at home) got a sneak peek at The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Sony Pictures had been hyping a new clip from the film for weeks, and director Marc Webb even appeared on Good Morning America earlier this week with Spider-Man to promote the reveal.
Luckily for those who missed it, Sony has posted the video clip online for everyone to enjoy. It begins with a message from Marvel legend Stan Lee and then features Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield) in a fight with Electro (Jamie Foxx) in Times Square. The clip shows off more of Electro's powers and his blue face and hands. Spidey even fires off a few quips as the sarcastic superhero does oh so well.
Check out the video below:
IGN also has a batch of new photos from the movie. The pictures include Electro with a shocked (see what we did there?) look on his face, Spidey vs. Electro, the web-slinger on top of a truck and Spider-Man hanging by one arm off the back of a truck.
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 opens on May 2, 2014 and stars Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, Jamie Foxx as Max Dillon/Electro, Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy, Paul Giamatti as Rhino, Dane DeHaan as Harry Osborn (and possibly the Green Goblin), Chris Cooper as Norman Osborn (also possibly the Green Goblin) and Sally Field as Aunt May.
