Beyonce strikes a pose in front of 'Last Supper' mural

Those memes of Beyonce as Jesus may be getting to her head. As if the release of her latest album wasn't shocking enough, Bey's latest photo opt has left many stunned.

Bey recently shared a photo of herself rocking a form-fitting lime green skirt. But what took the cake was her sultry pose on top of a juice bar with a mural of Leonardo DaVinci's famous "Last Supper" posted behind her.

In the photo, Bey is sitting in place of Jesus in the middle of the painting. Guess she decided to take on her fan given nickname, "Beysus."

The photo has garnered over 200,000 like on Instagram but it has also sparked outrage among social media users.

One user commented on the photo saying, "So disrespectful of her to do.. Replacing Jesus for herself so wrong!"

This is strike number two for Bey. She recently came under scrutiny for using an audio sample from the Challenger disaster.

Mrs. Carter released a statement apologizing. Here's what she had to say:

 "My heart goes out to the families of those lost in the Challenger disaster. The song 'XO' was recorded with the sincerest intention to help heal those who have lost loved ones and to remind us that unexpected things happen, so love and appreciate every minute that you have with those who mean the most to you."
