One Direction is the biggest boy band in the world, with countless fans obsessing over the young singers Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, and Liam Payne. These boys are part of a great musical phenomenon that captures the hearts of millions, including famed filmmaker Martin Scorsese. According to a new report, the Wolf of Wall Street director is "enthused" about One Direction.
According to The New York Daily News, Scorsese was gifted a One Direction album over the holidays by his daughter and he fell in love. We aren't sure which album it was, but perhaps it was the most recent record released in November of last year, Midnight Memories. But whichever album it was, it won over a very important fan.
"Martin is very passionate and enthused about the music of One Direction," a source explained.
Martin Scorsese is no stranger to the music industry just as One Direction is familiar with the film business. The director has made many iconic concert documentaries including The Band's The Last Waltz, The Rolling Stones' Shine a Light and he directed the music video for Michael Jackson's song "Bad." One Direction, on the other hand, released a 3D concert-documentary film with Morgan Spurlock entitled This Is Us. The film was an incredible success.
With the above information in mind, perhaps we should be looking forward to a collaboration between the director and his new favorite boy band. Would you like to see another One Direction movie, but with Scorsese directing this time? Maybe the Goodfellas filmmaker will want to make a music video for the boys?
