How I Met Your Mother will return with the second half of its ninth and final season on Monday, Jan. 13 with "Slapsgiving 3: Slappointment in Slapmarra," which will see Marshall deliver his penultimate slap to Barney. But plenty more action will be packed into the final episodes, and we've got some news about what fans can expect in the near future.

TVLine posted a series of spoilers about HIMYM's remaining episodes, and here are some of the highlights:

-       The next slap will occur in the first new episode of 2014 and star Jason Segel cryptically offered the words "Hilary Clinton" to the site to tease the slap.

-       The show's 200th episode, "How Your Mother Met Me," will air on Jan. 27 and will, as the title indicates, focus almost exclusively on The Mother (Cristin Milioti) as fans get to know what she has been up to for the past eight-plus seasons.

-       Executive producer Carter Bays told TVLine that the wedding is "a bruising weekend for everybody. A lot goes down. But [Ted is] going to meet [The Mother] at exactly the right time in his life."

-       The Mother will also meet Robin (Cobie Smulders) late in this final season. "It happens late in the season, and there's definite significance," said executive producer Craig Thomas. "It's a very important moment when they run into each other."

-       Fans will learn The Mother's name before the series ends.

-       Ashley Williams will return as Ted's on-again, off-again girlfriend Victoria.

-       Marshall and Lily's battle over his judgeship vs. their move to Rome will have multiple twists and turns before it resolves.
