Jennifer Hudson gives assistant Walter a house for Christmas, performs "I Can't Describe" on New Year's

When Jennifer Hudson played Carrie Bradshaw's assistant in the first Sex and the City movie, she was given a Louis Vuitton purse for Christmas. She went crazy. Well, in real life Hudson was able to gift her own assistant Walter something he would be just as surprised about -- if not more: a new house. Talk about generous!

Hudson captured the moment of Walter's big reaction on her personal Instagram account. The video appeared on Gossip Cop and numerous other websites, and has received over 16.7 thousand "likes." Watch the fun unfold now:

The star was in full force celebrating the holiday season, performing on New Year's Eve. She sang "I Can't Describe" on Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve 2014 in Los Angeles (the West coast portion).
