The San Francisco 49ers vs. the Green Bay Packers battle it out on the turf at Lambeau Field in Wisconsin on Sunday, January 5 at 4:40 p.m. EST in the first round of the 2013 NFL playoffs.. Read on to see where fans can watch and listen to a live stream of the Sunday afternoon playoff game online and catch up-to-date feeds and coverage on highlight plays and scores.
The 49ers currently hold the no. 2 spot in Chris Burke's NFL playoff power rankings for Sports Illustrated (out of 12 final teams). Sa Fran ended the season with a 12-4 winning record:
"The beauty of the NFL playoffs (and, also, the frustration for a 12-4 wild-card team like San Francisco) is that a season-ending hot streak could unravel on the road at anytime. If the 49ers sidestep that landmine in Green Bay this weekend, it likely will be on the strength of their Colin Kaepernick-led offense, which has shredded the Packers in two prior chances. But here's something to keep in mind: San Francisco went just 2-4 against this season's playoff field."
Meanwhile, the Packers snag the no. 11 spot with a 8-7-1 winning record:
"If you buy into the whole "Team of Destiny" thing, Green Bay might deserve the No. 1 spot. The Packers made the playoffs after Chicago and Detroit collapsed just enough to allow Aaron Rodgers to return for a division-clinching game. They also took the lead in said game on an apparent incompletion-turned-touchdown off a fumble recovery... Rodgers ought to be better Sunday than he was at Chicago. The only way it will matter, though, is if Green Bay's defense comes up with some way to counter San Francisco's offense after three straight losses in head-to-head matchups."
The game will be broadcasted live on FOX, but fans can also listen in on the radio at WTMJ 620 AM, WIXX 101.1, 107.7 'The Bone,' and 680 KNBR. Also tune into Westwood One.
