Curren$y announces new mixtape 'The Drive-in Theatre'

2014 is already looking like it's going to be a great year in music. Faith Evans recently announced that she would be releasing an album and New Orleans rapper Curren$y has some good news of his own.

Looks like Spitta has had some free time, which is hard to believe since he's almost always touring, and he plans to release some new music.

A couple days ago, the rapper took to Twitter to let fans know that he has something in the works and he's even in the studio with some old friends.

Spitta sent out this tweet on New Year's Eve:

"We like 6 songs up so far.... #thedriveintheatre coming soon....."

A few days later, he had this to say:

"My good friend @NesbyPhips sent me a beat.... I just cooked a brick too it... "God Father 4" will appear on #thedriveintheatre"

Can't wait to hear what they're working on. Wonder who else will be featured on the project. What do you think?

Frequent collaborator and good friend Wiz Khalifa will probably make an appearance, if he isn't holding a grudge against his pal for missing his wedding back in August.

According to TMZ, Spitta blew off the nuptials because he was too high. Here's what he had to say:

"We were totally like baked and I totally just smoked off my appearance. But he knows it's love and we definitely spoke and it's all good."

We're sure Wiz understood.
