The wheels of the justice system are beginning to turn as a second suspect has been arrested in the double-murder investigation of Hustle Gang rapper Doe B and innocent bystander Kim Johnson.
According to XXL Magazine, the alleged shooter 25-year-old Montgomery resident Jason McWilliams turned himself into the Montgomery Police Department nearly a week ago late Sunday (Dec 29) night.
He was charged with capital murder.
Alabama-based Fox 6 News reports that Montgomery resident Darius Thomas, 25, turned himself in Wednesday (Jan. 1) night and was charged with two counts of capital murder. Johnson was a 21-year-old student at Troy University.
Just last night (Jan. 3) a third victim in the shooting died. Family members and Montgomery police say 20-year-old Tim Hamilton died Friday night.
Hamilton had been in critical condition in a Montgomery hospital since being shot Saturday.
As previously reported, rapper Doe B and Johnson were shot and killed in Montgomery, AL at Centennial Hill Bar and Grill. Doe B was preparing to perform.
Police do not yet have a motive behind the shooting but suspect that there was an ongoing feud between Doe B and McWilliams that caused the shooting.
Following the shooting, Montgomery Mayor Todd Strange ordered the business to be closed. Strange said that the business is "an imminent threat to public safety." This incident is one of many homicides and shootings that have taken place at this location.
Funeral services for both Doe B and Johnson were held today (Jan. 4) at True Divine Baptist Church.
