'House of Lies' actress Ayelet Ben-Shahar placed under citizen's arrest for shoplifting groceries from LA supermarket

Apparently Hollywood doesn't pay you that well when you're an actor or actress. House of Lies, beauty, Ayelet Ben-Shahar was arrested this weekend for allegedly stealing groceries.

According to TMZ, the 27-year-old was placed under citizen's arrest in Studio City, California, after she reportedly stole $400 worth of products from a Gelson's market.

The Israeli beauty must have thought she was still in character, because she plays a jewelry dealer on House of Lies, you would think she would be caught stealing Michael Kors, not food.

No statement has been made from the actress, although one could predict maybe she could be having a hard time. According to her IMDb profile, the beauty does not have any future projects lined up.

Hint casting calls are open daily, maybe it's time the actress goes back to work. Season three of House of Lies is set to premiere on the Showtime network on Jan. 12.
