Emma Stone has been catching a lot of attention for her role in recent film The Amazing Spider-Man opposite of Andrew Garfield. As gorgeous and talented as she is and being in an industry where both the private and public life is under scrutiny of the press, one would never think that Stone suffered from panic attacks.
The 23-year old actress opened up in the latest issue of Vogue about the battle she had since she a little girl. Panic attacks prevented Stone from socializing with friends and being around people since she was 8. However therapy helped and when she set her heart to become an actress, she was able to work through the problem one by one.
Stone reflected, "I was just kind of immobilized by it. I didn't want to go to my friends' houses or hang out with anybody, and nobody really understood."
For Stone, she felt a sense of purpose when she was on stage. She still suffers from the occasional attack, and most recently during the filming of The Amazing Spider-Man.
Stone shared that what helps is baking. She said, "I was just baking all the time. It seemed like it made me feel, if I put these in, I'll know what the outcome is."
Stone and Garfield have been promoting their film The Amazing Spider-Man together. The onscreen and offscreen couple are all smiles and are very comfortable with each other.
