Bump Wu-Tang Clan, Dennis Rodman and North Korea ain't nothin' to eff with and the former NBA legend proved just that during an interview that ran on CNN this morning (Jan. 7).

Back in November, Rodman announced that he would be making yet another "diplomacy" mission trip in North Korea.

This time around, the former hoop star was in the country to play basketball for dictator Kim Jong Un's birthday. And Rodman wasn't alone. He was accompanied by other former NBA players Kenny Anderson, Cliff Robinson Vin Baker and former Knick Charles D. Smith.

The trip seemed to be going well, until things took a strange turn this morning.

During an interview with Chris Cuomo, Rodman was asked about U.S. citizen Kenneth Bae's release and Cuomo soon found that that was probably the wrong thing to ask.

Here's how it went down:

Rodman said, "The one thing about politics, Kenneth Bae did one thing. If you understand - if you understand what Kenneth Bae did. Do you understand what he did? In this country?"

And Cuomo fired back with "What did he do? you tell me."

"You tell me," Rodman said. "You tell me. Why is he held captive?"

When previously asked about his trip, his relationship with Kim and North Korean politics, Rodman had this to say:

"Like I told you, this is not all about trying to create this major buzz. Because I don't want my friend to sit there and say I been doing this all along to slip in some information on him. I don't want that. That's why I'm not doing that. We're friends and that's it."
