Cara Delevingne reveals passion for acting over fashion runway modeling, details new movie 'Face of an Angel'

Even though she's been labeled as the latest "It Girl" in the fashion world, 21-year-old model Cara Delevingne this week revealed that the runway is not her ideal place of work. Cara says that, though she appreciates the ability to make a living off of it, fashion is not her passion. Her true desire is to have a career in the acting world and is well on her way already!

"Modelling is a great job, and I appreciate everything it has brought me, but it's not my passion," she said in a new interview with The Daily Mail.

Cara is currently filming dark drama entitled The Face of an Angel, which is loosely based around the Amanda Knox incident. Her costar is award-winning actor Daniel Bruhl.

"As far back as I can remember I've wanted to act," she said. "We were going through all these old home videos recently, which I'd never seen before, and there were shots of me acting on a mocked-up stage."

If you're thinking Cara has honed her acting skills in some way by modeling professionally over the years, you'd be wrong.

"I don't always like the camera," she said. "The whole point of modelling is to become aware of a camera, though you have to pretend you're not. You must be aware of where it is, and how to look good in front of it. Acting is the opposite. You can't be aware of the camera at all."
