Brock Lesnar made his return to WWE television on the Dec. 30, 2013 edition of Monday Night Raw with his manager, Paul Heyman, to proclaim himself as the No. 1 Contender for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship regardless of the winner of the match between John Cena and Randy Orton at Royal Rumble.
Many fans had reasoned that Lesnar would return for WrestleMania 30, but his schedule has actually been much heavier prior to that, including a match with the Big Show at Royal Rumble. According to Wrestlezone.com, here are the dates for which Lesnar is advertised so far:
Jan. 20 Monday Night Raw in Dayton, Ohio
Jan. 26 Royal Rumble in Pittsburgh (Brock Lesnar vs. Big Show)
Jan. 27 Monday Night Raw in Cleveland
Feb. 23 Elimination Chamber (possibly in a match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship?)
Feb. 24 Monday Night Raw in Green Bay, Wisconsin
Apr. 6 WrestleMania 30 in New Orleans
Given the big gap between the Raw after Royal Rumble and Elimination Chamber, it's likely that Lesnar would make more appearances between the two pay-per-views, particularly if they are going to build toward a title match at the latter. It's also possible that Lesnar could compete for the title at WrestleMania given how in flux the card for the Showcase of the Immortals seems to be at the moment.
What do you think, WWE fans? Are you surprised to see so many appearances by The Beast prior to WrestleMania? When do you think Lesnar will get his title shot, and whom will he face? Let us know in the comments below.
