Despite earlier reports this week that AMC was holding off a little bit longer on the Breaking Bad spinoff series, Better Call Saul, the network this weekend announced the premiere date for the Bob Odenkirk show. According to AMC's latest announcement, Better Call Saul will premiere in November of 2014, but does not have an actual day set for the first episode.

HitFix reports:

Better Call Saul, the Breaking Bad prequel focusing on Bob Odenkirk as sleazy attorney Saul Goodman, will debut sometime in November, exact date still TBD.

Hopefully AMC will update us soon on the actual date because fans have been waiting most of 2013 and now will have to wait the majority of 2014 for the return of Saul Goodman. Any news on the project from here on out will certainly be pleasing to fans.

This premiere date announcement came right after AMC programming head Joel Stillerman revealed in a recent interview with Vulture that fans would have to wait a while for the series.

"That show is committed and on the books now. The writers' room is open," he explained. "Broad strokes - probably no news here: It is a prequel, it explores what went into shaping the incredibly compelling and idiosyncratic and funny and somewhat tragic character of Saul Goodman. I think the other thing that's really great about Saul: Vince and Peter Gould, who are partners on the show, talk a lot about really reinventing the tone of what it means to be a drama. There have been a number of dramas on the air that have had comedic elements."
