The Jan. 13, 2014 edition of WWE's Monday Night Raw emanates live from the Dunkin Donuts Center in Providence, R.I. and opens with Daniel Bryan and Bray Wyatt against the Usos in a tag team match.
The Usos win by disqualification when Luke Harper and Erick Rowan attack them. They get in a few more licks before they Usos run away. Bray whispers something to Bryan, hugs him and then plants him with Sister Abigail. He says he has a reason for all of this, and the Wyatts roll Bryan out of the ring and carry him to the back.
John Cena defeats Damien Sandow in a very solid match when he counters a crossface into the Attitude Adjustment for the win.
Kane is backstage when Brad Maddox comes in and tells him that Raw is already out of control with the Wyatt Family. Kane tells him to do something about it, so Maddox books a rematch between the Usos, Daniel Bryan and Bray Wyatt in a steel cage. Kane says he has a better idea: he will lock the cage door and hold onto the key.
Big Show squashes Jack Swagger with a chokeslam. Antonio Cesaro tries to attack but Show chases him through the crowd. Show goes back into the ring and sees Zeb Colter checking on Swagger, so he goes to knock him out. Cesaro comes back but Show throws him over the ropes and knocks out Zeb.
The Shield defeats CM Punk and The New Age Outlaws after they pick Punk apart for much of the match. He tries to tag in his partners, but the Outlaws jump off the apron and walk up the ramp to the back. Reigns spears him for the win, then the three triple powerbomb him after the match.
The Wyatts cut a promo about their cage match, and Bray says a society is a cage that they have been in all their lives.
AJ Lee and Tamina Snuka defeat The Funkadactyls when the Divas Champion elbows Naomi in the face and dropkicks Cameron in the face for the win. Tamina attacks Cameron after the match but Naomi hits a few diving leg lariats and knocks AJ out of the ring with the Rear View.
Randy Orton is backstage looking for the Authority and finds Kane. He says that with Brock Lesnar gunning for the title and Batista coming back, he needs to be better protected. Kane says he can only control what happens tonight and offers him a chance to blow off some steam in a match against Kofi Kingston. Orton says it would be his pleasure.
The WWE reveals that The Ultimate Warrior is the first inductee into the Hall of Fame Class of 2014.
Renee Young interviews Paul Heyman, who says that Big Show made one of the stupidest decisions in WWE history when he challenged Brock Lesnar to a match at Royal Rumble. He says Big Show's chokeslamming Jack Swagger and knocking out his "illegitimate grandfather" Zeb Colter does not intimidate him and that Lesnar, the clear No. 1 Contender for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, does impress him.
Kofi Kingston upsets Randy Orton when he counters the hangman's DDT into an S.O.S. for the pin. Orton is livid after the match and rearranges some furniture at ringside. He yells at the fans and then actually attacks one of them, John Cena's father, before security pulls him away. Cena runs out and Orton hightails it away. Cena goes to check on his dad and asks the fans to back up a bit as medical personnel attend to his father. After the commercial, Cena rides with his father to the hospital in the back of an ambulance.
The WWE Tag Team Champions, Cody Rhodes and Goldust, defeat Ryback and Curtis Axel aka Rybaxel when Cody plants Axel with Cross Rhodes.
Alberto Del Rio defeats Rey Mysterio with the Cross Arm Breaker. He cuts a promo on Batista afterwards and says everyone will stop talking about Batista after the Royal Rumble match and will start talking about Alberto Del Rio.
CM Punk walks into Kane's office looking for the Authority, but they are not here tonight. Punk says that it was 5-on-1 out there and that if Triple H has a problem with him, then he does not need to hide behind five men or his wife, Stephanie McMahon. Kane says the Authority is actually giving him the chance to main event WrestleMania 30 because they have entered Punk in the Royal Rumble match. Punk says he has no problem with that, but he does have a problem with Kane.
The steel cage lowers and the four combatants are locked inside when Kane comes out and seals the door. The Usos pick up the win by escaping over the top of the cage when Daniel Bryan accidentally knocks over Bray Wyatt.
Wyatt laughs maniacally after the match and whispers to Bryan again. Bryan nods and kneels down to let Bray plant him with Sister Abigail, but he backs out at the last second as the crowd chants "Yes!" and "Daniel Bryan!" Bray goes to attack him in the corner but Bryan sidesteps him and hits him with multiple running knees. He follows that up with some kicks.
He takes off the Wyatt jumpsuit and reveals his original trunks and boots. Rowan and Harper try to get in the cage but Bryan prevents it. He nails Bray with his running knee finisher, climbs to the top of the cage and starts a Yes! chant as the show goes off the air.
