Hulk Hogan's return to WWE seems all but official at this point, and a new report indicates that the Hulkster could have been back in WWE already.
PWInsider.com reports that there is a deal in place for Hogan to come back, and he is expected to sign the contract at any moment. The report notes that as late as last Monday night into Tuesday morning, the company had plans to introduce Hogan at the same time as the WWE Network announcement. The WWE television department was reportedly aware of Hogan's return and prepared his announcement by working him into the script that WWE used on the teleprompter at the CES announcement.
A source within the company supposedly told PWInsider that the company decided against announcing his return at the same time as the WWE Network because it might have overshadowed the reveal of the Network, which the company wanted to be the absolute focus of last Wednesday night.
As has been reported for months, Hulk Hogan would more than likely have a role at WrestleMania 30, but it is unclear if he would actually compete in a match.
Daniel Bryan and Bray Wyatt Plans
F4WOnline.com reports that preliminary plans call for Daniel Bryan to face Bray Wyatt in a one-on-one match at Royal Rumble. WWE could announce the match next week on Monday Night Raw.
Chris Jericho returning for WrestleMania 30?
Similar to the Batista situation, The Winnipeg Sun may have spoiled a major return when it reported that Chris Jericho, a Winnipeg native, would be at the March 7th WWE Live Event at the MTS Centre. The news could potentially spoil Jericho's return in time for WrestleMania 30, but Jericho has repeatedly been noncommittal about a WWE return in 2014.
F4WOnline.com reports that WWE has asked The Winnipeg Sun to pull its report because it is a mistake.
